15 people killed as suicide bomber targets protestors in E. Afghanistan
JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Sept 11, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – At least 15 people
were confirmed dead as a suicide bomber targeted a protest demonstration in
the eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, an eyewitness said.
“We have counted 15 dead bodies laying on the ground after a suicide bomber
blew himself up among protestors on Jalalabad-Torkham road in Nangarhar
province,” the eyewitness told Xinhua but refused to be identified.
He also asserted that the number of casualties might be higher as the blast
was very powerful.
Meantime, provincial government spokesman Attaullah Khogiani confirmed the
incident but failed to provide details, saying it is too early to reveal the
details on casualties or kind of attack.
