No scope for BNP to do politics over Khaleda’s illness: Hanif
KUSHTIA, Sept 10, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League Joint General Secretary
Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said there is no scope for BNP to do politics over
the illness of the party chief Begum Khaleda Zia.
He said this while talking to newsmen before joining a seminar at Kushtia
municipality auditorium here. Hanif said treatment of Khaleda, who is a
prisoner, will be held as per the jail code.
The AL leader said on the basis of petition of BNP leaders, the home
minister asked authorities concerned to provide all-out treatment to the
party chairperson. So there is now no scope of doing politics over Khaleda’a
illness, he added.
Hanif said because of BNP’s political bankruptcy, they are politicizing
Khaleda’s physical illness.
Later, the AL joint general secretary attended a seminar chaired by
Islamic University, Kushtia Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Shahinur Rahman.
Islamic University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari
attended it as the chief discussant.
