Bangabandhu’s close associate MA Samad passes away
PIROJPUR, Sept 10, 2018 (BSS) – Corporal (retd) MA Samad, a close
associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and an
accused in the Agartala Conspiracy Case, passed away at National Institute of
Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in the capital last night.
He was 92.
Samad, also a former president of Mathbaria upazila Awami League, left
behind a son, three daughters and host of relatives and admirers to mourn his
death.
His first namaj-e-janaza was held at a mosque in the capital last night.
Samad, an organizer of the country’s Liberation War in 1971, will be
buried at his family graveyard at Dakkhin Mithakhali in the district after
Asr prayers with state honor following his second and third namaj-e-janaza at
Mathbaria Central Eidgah and Dakkhin Mithakhali respectively.
