2 killed in shooting in Myanmar’s northern state
YANGON, Sept. 9, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – Two men have been killed in a
shooting on a highway in Kyaukme township, Myanmar’s northern Shan state, the
official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. local time on the highway
near Mukha village as a 12-wheel-truck carrying 25 buffaloes were ambushed by
unidentified armed men hidden inside a corn plantation just six meters from
the left side of the road.
The two victims including a driver, who are residents from Lashio, died on
the spot and three buffaloes on board were also killed in the incident.
The police is making investigation into the case, the report added.
