Int’l Literacy Day observed in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Sep 8, 2018 (BSS) – The International Literacy Day was
observed in Debiganj upazila town today in a befitting manner.
This year, the theme of the day was ‘Achieve literacy, Build life with
skill’.
In observance of the day, the upazila administration brought out a
procession from upazila parishad premises, which paraded different road of
the town.
A discussion was also held there with upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of
Debiganj Md Atik SB Sattar in the chair.
Upazila parishad vice-chairman Parimal Dey Sarker, primary education
officer Runa Layla and freedom fighters’ commander Sodesh Chandra Ray, among
others, spoke at the meeting.
Teachers and students of different educational institutions and
government officials joined the procession and discussion.
