Macedonia’s unemployment falls by 6.2 pct in Q2 2018
SKOPJE, Sept. 8, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – In the second quarter of 2018, the
number of unemployed people in Macedonia fell by 6.2 percent, Macedonian
State Statistical Office (SSO) reported on Friday.
The SSO data showed that in the second quarter of 2018, the number of
employed people increased by 2.1 percent.
The data show that the labor force in Macedonia during this period
amounted to 957,471 persons, of which 755,073 were employed, whereas 202,398
were unemployed.
Moreover, the activity rate in this period, according to the Macedonian
State Statistical Office was 56.9, the employment rate was 44.9, whereas the
unemployment rate was 21.1.
