Week-long tree plantation begins in Netrakona
NETRAKONA, Sept 7, 2018 (BSS) – A week-long tree plantation began in the district today under the auspices of local administration.
As part of the program, district administration, agriculture extension department and forest department jointly arranged a week-long tree fair at Old Collectorate Office premises.
Deputy Commissioner Ariful Islam inaugurated the fair.
He urged the people to plant more saplings around their houses, public and private buildings including educational institutions and beside the roads the highways in the greater national interest.
Different species of saplings are being sold at 30 stalls in the fair ground.
