Fugitive Jamaat leader held in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 6, 2018 (BSS)- Chattogram district police arrested a
fugitive leader of Jamaat-e-Islami on charges filed for possessing explosive,
conducting sabotage acts and assault on police from different area under
Satkhania thana early today.
The detainee was identified as Kamal Uddin, 32, son of Abdul Motalab,
hailed from Euchia village under Satkania upazila of the district.
The arrested person was possessing explosive and conducted sabotage acts
and assault on police during Jamaat-Shibir’s countrywide arson and sabotages
in 2014.
Several cases were pending with Satkhania thana against him, said Rofiqul
Hossain, officer in charge of Satkhania thana police.
He was handed over to court, the OC added.
