ARREST-FAKE-CURRENCY
One held with counterfeit Indian rupee in capital
DHAKA, Sept 6, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a
person along with a huge quantity of fake Indian currency worth about Taka
15.74 lakh from Shyamoli area in the capital in wee hours of today.
“We arrested one Md Shamsur Rahman, 44, of Shibganj of Chapainawabganj
district and seized a huge quantity of fake Indian currency equivalent to
Taka 15.74 lakh from Shyamoli area around 3am today,” senior assistant police
super (media) Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told BSS today.
The arrestee has been involved in producing fake currency for the last
five years, he also said.
Legal action was taken to this end.
