44 held in Meherpur
MEHERPUR, Sept 6, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 44
activists of BNP-Jamaat from three upazilas of the district in last 12-hour
ending at 9am this morning.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
“During the drives, 23 BNP-Jamaat activists from Gangni upazila, 19 from
Meherpur Sadar upazila and two from Mujibnagar upazila were arrested with 25
cocktails,” Additional Superintendent of Police (Circle) Mustafizur Rahman
said.
The process of sending the detainees to the court is going on, he added.
