DMP files 5,532 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Sept 5, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Tuesday
filed 5,532 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over 43.51 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation, said
an official release.
Of the total cases, 338 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 52
for using hydraulic horn, five for using hotter and beckon light and 10
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 2,557 cases against motorcycles and seized 130 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 48 vehicles and wrecked 912 others.
