One killed, 23 injured as train hits bus in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sep 2, 2018 (BSS) – A passenger was killed and 23 others were
injured after a Chattogram-bound train hit a bus at Bariyarhat Rail Crossing
under Mirsharai upazila of the district early today.
The victim was identified as Sunirmal Chakma, 53, hailed from
Khagrachhari district.
Of the injured, 15 people including the bus driver were taken to
Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Police said the incident happened when Chattogram-bound train Bijoy
Express hit a Khagrachhari-bound bus of S Alam Paribahan on Bariarhat railway
track around 4am, leaving Sunirmal dead on the spot.
