KIDNAPPER- ARREST-C’NAWABGANJ
Alleged kidnapper held with firearm in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, August 30, 2018 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB)-5 arrested an alleged kidnapper with a revolver and ammunition and
rescued the abducted person from Rehaichar Bankpara area here.
The arrested person was identified as Md Al Mamun, 20, son of Shahin Ali
of Rehaichar under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB said a gang of 10/12 terrorists kidnapped a businessman identified as
Md Borjahan Ali, 45, son of Md Monirul Islam of Ajmatpur village under
Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district from Mohananda Bridge Toll Plaza
area around 4pm on Wednesday.
Being informed, a team of RAB from Chapainawabganj camp led by Company
Commander Squadron Leader Mohammad Sayeed Abdullah Al Murad
raided the area around 4:30 pm and arrested Al Mamun with the fire arms
loaded with three bullets and rescued the victim.
However, the others managed to flee.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of
Chapainawabganj sadar thana. A case was filed in this connection.
