Noor lays foundation of FPD building in Nilphamari

Nilphamari, Aug 29, 2018 (BSS) – The foundation stone of Family Planning Department (FPD) District office building involving Taka 4.66 crore was laid at Mother and Child Welfare Centre of the district today.

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor placed the stone of the building as chief guest while District Family Planning Department Deputy Director Afroza Begum presided over the function.

Addressing the occasion, Noor said whoever came to power in previous years hindered the development of the country. If Bangabandhu were alive, the country would have witnessed massive development.

In 1972, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman took the responsibility of the war-raved Bangladesh with a pledge to ensure foods for all the people of the country, Noor said, adding Bangabandhu thought about the development of all sectors, including health, education, culture and communication system.

Construction of the building is the continuation of the country’s development being done under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he added.

The function was addressed, among others, by District Awami League President Dewan Kamal Ahmed, Additional Civil Surgeon Jahangir Alam and Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abuzar Rahman.
