Bangladesh role model of development: Amu

DHAKA, August 28, 2018 (BSS) – Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu today said Bangladesh is moving forward under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and consequently it has become a role model of development in the world.

“The world is now wondering about the development of Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been able to project Bangladesh before the world as a dignified country as per the expectation of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he said.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting and Duwa Mahfil marking the National Mourning Day and 43rd Shahadat Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) premises in the city.

Among others, Secretary in-Charge of the Industries Ministry M Abdul Halim and BSEC Director Anisul Haque Bhuiyan spoke on the occasion. BSEC Chairman Mijanur Rahman presided over the discussion.

Amu said the August 15 assassination was designed mainly to make Bangladesh a ‘loose confederation’ with Pakistan by erasing the spirit of the Liberation War.

“The Assassination of the 15 August was not a family assassination. It was a revolution of the defeated forces of the 1971,” he added.

Amu said the defeated forces of 1971 killed Bangabandhu with his family members to turn Bangladesh into a failed state and taint the spirit of the Liberation War.

“It was a well-planned conspiracy to make Bangladesh a new Pakistan,” he added.
