2,360 pilgrims return after Hajj

DHAKA, Aug 28, 2018 (BSS) – A total of 2,360 pilgrims so far have returned home today on eight flights from Saudi Arabia after performing the holy Hajj.

“All hajj pilgrims are expected to return to the country within September 26,” according to Dhaka and Makkha Hajj Office.

In this regard, Biman Bangladesh Airlines are operating 172 return hajj flights, the sources added.

Earlier, a total of 419 hajj pilgrims returned home on first flight from Saudi Arabia last night.

This year a total of 1, 27,298 people including members of hajj management went to Saudi Arabia through 371 hajj flights.

Of them, 92 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, including 15 women, died in Saudi Arabia, said Makkah Hajj office.

Among the dead, 55 died in Makkah, seven in Madina, two in Jeddah, 18 in Mina and 10 in Arafat, the sources added.
