30 held in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR, Aug 27, 2018 (BSS)- Law enforcers, in special drives arrested 30
persons including 10 drug traders from different areas of the district in
last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning.
Law enforcers also seized 122 pieces of Pethidine injections and 202
bottles of Phensidyl during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on
different charges.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested eight persons including
four drug traders, Biral Thana police arrested three persons, Birganj Thana
police arrested two persons, Kaharole Thana police arrested one person,
Chirirbandar Thana police arrested four persons, Bochaganj Thana police
arrested two persons, Khansama Thana police arrested two persons, Birampur
Thana police arrested two persons and Ghoraghat Thana police arrested two
drug traders with 50 bottles of Phensidyl.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending
with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources
added.
Meanwhile, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained
four drug traders with 152 bottles of Phensidyl and 122 pieces of Pethidine
injections around 11pm from Hili Railway Station in Hakimpur upazila of the
district.
Later, the detained persons were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police,
BGB said.
The arrested persons were sent to jail.
