Road accidents kill 4 in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, Aug 26, 2018 (BSS)- Four people were killed and one other was injured in three separate road accidents in the district today.
Two were killed in a road accident in Kakni area on Mymensingh-Sherpur road under Tarakanda upazila in the district around 11.30am, police said.
The two were identified as motorcycle riders Yeasin, 45, hailed from Langarpur area under Cumilla district and Dilip Mia, 22, hailed from Dakua village under Tarakanda upazila in the district.
The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus crushed a motorcycle in Kakni area around 11.30am, leaving Yeasin dead on the spot and injured Dilip seriously. Later, he was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where attending doctor declared him dead.
One person was killed and one injured in a road accident in Kajir Simla area on Dhaka-Mymensingh road under Trishal upazila around 11am, said Trishal thana officer-in-charge Jakiul Islam.
The deceased was identified as motorcycle rider Juel, 30, hailed from Digarkanda village under Mymensingh Sadar upazila.
The accident took place when a Dhaka-bound bus crushed a motorcycle in the area around 11am, leaving Juel dead on the spot and injured another seriously.
Besides, a motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Balia area under Phulpur upazila around 7am.
The accident occurred when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw crushed a motorcycle in the area around 7am, leaving motorcyclist Rezaul Karim dead on the spot.
