MEAT-SACRIFICIAL-DISTRIBUTION
SKS Foundation distributes sacrificial meat in Gaibandha
GAIBANDHA, AUG 24, 2018 (BSS) – A total of 2,640 poor and distressed
families of six unions under Shaghata and Fulchhari upazilas in the district
got sacrificial meat from a local NGO on Thursday.
SKS Foundation distributed the sacrificial meat among the poor with the
financial support of Islamic Relief Bangladesh.
A meat distribution function was held on the premises of Nutun Kuri
Biddyaniketon at Bharatkhali under Shaghata upazila after as many as 66 cows
were sacrificed.
A total of 2,640 poor and distressed families of Shaghata, Bharatkhali,
Muktinagar and Kamalerpara unions of Shaghata upazila and Fulchhari and
Gozaria unions of Fulchhari upazilas received meat through the function.
Each of the poor and the distressed families of the unions got 2kg of
sacrificial meat to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha.
Vice president of SKS Foundation Mosarrof Hossain Khan, assistant
director Mahfuzur Rahman, coordinator Abu Sayeed Sumon, respective union
parishad chairmen, and local elite were present on the occasion.
The poor and the distressed people expressed their deep satisfaction and
gratefulness to SKS Foundation and the Islamic Relief Bangladesh.
