18 rivers register rise, 70 fall

DHAKA, August 21, 2018 (BSS) – Water levels in 18 rivers stations
monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and
70 stations recorded fall.

Among the 94 monitored water level stations, four are steady, a bulletin
issued by FFWC said today.

All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna Rivers are in falling trend which may continue in
the next 72 hours.

The Ganges-Padma rivers are in steady state which may continue in the next
24 hours.

The Major rivers of the Upper Meghna basin are in falling trend which may
continue in next 48 hours.
