DHAKA, Aug 20, 2018 (BSS) – Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken
highest security at the Jatiya Eidgah and its adjoining areas in the capital
for smooth and peaceful holding of the main Eid Jamaat.
“We have taken the highest security at Jatiya Eidgah with coordination with
other law enforcement agencies,” DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah told
newsmen at Jatiya Eidgah ground after inspecting the overall security
arrangements here today.
Police personnel in uniform and plain cloth have been deployed in around
the Eidgah to make the security foolproof, he also said.
Dog squads and bomb disposal unit will sweep the Jatiya Eidgah ground and
police control room will monitor the activities of the people through closed
circuit camera televisions (CCTVs), he also said.
SWAT team and counter terrorism unit personnel will be stand to put a
security blanket over the Jatiya Eidgah ground, he informed.
The DMP chief requested all the city dwellers to help law enforcers in
conducting search as none will be allowed to enter the Jatiya Eidgah without
search. He also requested all to contact police control room over mobile and
phone number, 01713-398311, 9559933, 9551188 and 9514400, in case of
necessary.
None will be allowed to enter Jatiya Eidgah with vanity bags, bags,
trolleys, explosives, he said, adding that devotes with only prayer mats
(jainamaj) and umbrella will be allowed to enter the Eidgah.
