DHAKA, Aug 20, 2018 (BSS) – The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha will be
held at the Jatiya Eidgah in the capital at 8 am on Wednesday (August 22),
according to a press release of Islamic Foundation.
Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mohammad
Ehsanul Haque will conduct the main Eid congregation as the main Imam while
Muhtamim (principal) of Jamia Arabia Ashrafia, Mirpur, Maulana Syed
Wahiduzzaman will be there as alternative Imam, the release said here today.
Besides, five Eid congregations will be held at Baitul Mukarram National
Mosque like previous years. The first Eid congregation will he be held at the
mosque at 7 am while the second at 8 am, the third at 9 am, the fourth at 10
am and the fifth at 10:45 am.
According to the release, measures have been taken to ensure tight security
and sufficient supply of water in the national mosque for the devotees to
hold the Eid congregation peacefully.
