117 slaughtering spots selected in Rangpur city
RANGPUR, Aug 20, 2018 (BSS) – The authorities of Rangpur City
Corporation (RpCC) has selected 117 designated spots in city areas for
slaughtering sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.
A total of 117 Imams and 117 butchers will remain standby at 117 fixed
places for slaughtering sacrificial animals on Eid day, RpCC mayor Mostafizar
Rahman Mostafa told BSS.
“We are distributing leaflets and encouraging people using loudspeakers
at ward level for slaughtering sacrificial animals at the designated spots
aiming to manage animal waste properly,” he said.
The mayor said about 605 cleaners will remove animal waste using 120
trolleys and rickshaw vans while 20 tractors will carry sacrificial animal
waste to complete the waste disposal within 48 hours.
