Photojournalists urged to present subjects positively

RANGPUR, Aug 19, 2018 (BSS) – Speakers at a programme called upon
photojournalists for selecting topics perfectly and taking angles correctly
to present subjects positively before the society and preserve history of the
present time.

They also said the photojournalists should remember that a picture is
stronger than a thousand-word to make the people understood or present an
incident or subject before them.

They made the remarks at the function organised by Rangpur
Photojournalists’ Association (RPJA) before bringing out a colorful rally on
the city streets in observance of the World Photography Day-2018.

The RPJA in association with Rangpur Photographic Society (RPS) also
organised a post-rally discussion followed by a workshop on ‘Rangpur in
Camera and Security of Photojournalists’ held at RPJA office in observance of
the day.

Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Enamul Habib inaugurated the event as the
chief guest.

Presided over by RPJA President Aftabuzzaman Hiru, its Office Secretary
Rezaul Karim Jiban moderated the functions as well as workshop participated
by members of RPJA and RPS and civil society members.

Acting President of district Awami League (AL) Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, its
office Secretary Tauhidur Rahman Tutul, Vice-president of city AL Shamim
Talukder, General Secretary of district Mohila AL Advocate Zakia Sultana
Choite addressed the functions as special guests.

Founding President of RPJA Shakil Ahmed, its General Secretary Shahidur
Rahman Shahid, Vice-president Golzar Rahman Ador and Executive Committee
member Uday Chandra Barman, among others, addressed.
