DHAKA, Aug 19, 2018 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon
today said the women folk of the country will be victimised, if the
conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat becomes successful.
He said BNP-Jamaat is now active to hatch conspiracy against the
government with an ambition to go to power.
“Being failure in capitalising on the students’ movement demanding quota
reform and safe roads, they are now searching for new excuses. If they become
successful in this regard, the country will lag behind for a long time,” the
minister said while addressing a rally organised by Paltan thana unit of
Awami League (AL) in the city.
Menon, also President of Workers Party of Bangladesh, said the progresses
achieved in the last 10 years in establishing women rights will be hindered
if BNP-Jamaat come to power again.
He urged the women to come forward to break ‘the poisonous teeth of BNP-
Jamaat’ and take measures so that no candidate against women empowerment
could win in the next general election.
