439 Eid jamaats in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 18, 2018 (BSS)-All preparations are complete in the
district for holding a total of 439 jamaats (congregations) of Eid-ul-Azha to
be celebrated on August 22.
Local Islamic Foundation sources said, of the total Eid jamaats, 134 will
be held in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila, 104 in Shibganj upazila, 114 in
Gomostapur upazila and 27 in Bholahat upazila.
Meanwhile, municipal and union parishad authorities across the district
have already fixed spots for slaughtering sacrificial animals.
The sources said imams during their last Juma prayers sermons asked
devotees to bury refuse of sacrificial animals properly immediately after
slaughtering to check pollution of environment.
