DHAKA, Aug 17, 2018 (BSS) – The government has released Taka 280 crore as honorary allowance and festival allowance for three months under the fiscal 2018-19.
Three month allowances (July to September) for freedom fighters under the special programme have been released, Liberation War Minister Affairs AKM Mozammel told BSS today.
He said district administrations have been given necessary instructions so that selected freedom fighters and their families can draw money from banks before the Eid-ul-Azha.
Mozammel said the government is giving honorary and festival allowance to 1, 84 ,961 freedom fighters to ensure their economic solvency as well as dignity in the society.
Each freedom fighter is getting Taka 10,000 per month while Taka 10,000 has been given as festival allowance.
