Follow Bangabandhu’s ideology to build ‘Sonar Bangla’: Nahid
DHAKA, Aug 16, 2018 (BSS) – Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today
urged people to follow the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for building an economically advanced country.
The government is sincerely working to build “Sonar Bangla” as dreamt by
Bangabandhu, he told a discussion at the International Mother Language
Institute (IMLI) in the city marking the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of the
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, an official release
said.
Secretary of Technical and Madrasah Education Division Md Alamgir, Director
General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Prof Md
Mahabubur Rahman and senior officials of the ministry, among others,
addressed the discussion with Secretary of Secondary and Higher Secondary
Education Division Md Sohrab Hossain in the chair.
Nahid said the main ideology of Bangabandhu was to free the Bangali nation
from deprivation, repression as well as break the shackles of subjugation of
thousands of years.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed at a time when he had
undertaken an arduous task of building a Golden Bangladesh reconstructing the
war-ravaged country and unifying the whole nation, he added.
The minister urged all to groom the young generation in light of ideology
of Banglabandhu to build a happy, prosperous and non-communal Bangladesh.
