Quader terms Golam Sarwar’s write-up magical
DHAKA, Aug 16, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary today paid rich tributes to Daily Samakal Editor Golam Sarwar by placing a wreath on his coffin at the Central Shaheed Minar here.
“Golam Sawar’s writing was magical. I usually read his write-up with full concentration,” he told newsmen after paying homage to Sarwar on behalf of Awami League.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the noted journalist was accepted to all. Sarwar was also a valiant freedom fighter of the Liberation War, he added.
The minister said the death of the journalist is an irreparable loss to the country.
AL Advisory Council Member and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, AL Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Organizing Secretaries Ahmed Hossain and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Office Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and Environment and Forest Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain were among the party delegation.
Golam Sarwar breathed his last at 9.25 pm (Bangladesh time) on August 13 at the Singapore General Hospital where he was undergoing treatment for various ailments.
