DHAKA, Aug 15, 2018 (BSS) – Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain today urged
all to work together to materialise the dream of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by building a Sonar Bangla.
“It is our duty to work to make his dream come true. If we be able to do
so, his departed soul will be in peace,” he said.
The Chief Justice came up with the observation while addressing a blood
donation camp at Supreme Court Auditorium marking National Mourning Day.
Supreme Court organised the programme with support from Transfusion
Medicine Department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Justice Hasan Foez Siddique and Justice Mirza Hussain Haider were, among
others, present at the occasion.
Terming the day a sad and horrific one, the Chief Justice said Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of
his family members on this day.
Earlier, a special munajat was offered at the Supreme Court, which was
attended by judges from both the divisions of the apex court, lawyers and
officials.
