JU-BCL-BLOOD-DONATION-CAMPAIGN
JU BCL organised blood donation campaign at JU
SAVAR, Aug 14, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of
Jahangirnagar University (JU) in association with Dhaka Metropolitan Police
today organised a voluntary blood donation campaign at the campus here.
Marking the National Mourning day and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this voluntary blood
donation campaign was held at the Central Shaheed Minar premises around 1 pm.
JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam inaugurated the campaign as the
chief guest with JU BCL President Jewel Rana in the chair.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prof Farzana urged the leaders and
activists of JU BCL unit to follow the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman.
Conducted by JU BCL Secretary SM Abu Sufian Chanchal, Additional Police
Super of Dhaka District attended the programme as special guest.
A total of 39 leaders and activists of JU BCL unit donated blood at the
campaign.
Besides, the BCL unit also held a tree plantation campaign on the campus
marking the day.
