GAZIPUR, August 12, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Women and Children
Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki today said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina not
only carried out infrastructural development but also ensured birth and death
registration of the people.
“Bangladesh is not a poor country now rather it has turned into a
developing country. Birth registration is essential to continue the progress
of our development. It is needed for every citizen to know his or her birth
date,” she said.
She came up with the remarks while addressing a meeting on birth and death
registration within 45 days at Shahid Moyejuddin Mukta Mancha of Gazipur
organised by Kaliganj upazila administration.
Gazipur district commissioner Dr Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir presided
over the function while singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya addressed it.
