ACC wants livestock’s intervention to stop cow fattening
DHAKA, Aug 12, 2018 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today requested the Livestock Department to take necessary measures to stop fattening of sacrificial animals ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.
The commission’s two-member team made the request while visiting Livestock Department headquarters in the capital after receiving several allegations over ACC hotline 106.
Authorities concerned of the department informed the ACC that they are now conducting nationwide campaigns to make people aware about the adverse impact of cow fattening using steroid.
Digital displays will be hanged at big cattle markets to make people aware about the fattened cows.
