Work unitedly to continue country’s development pace: Shajahan
DHAKA, Aug 12, 2018 (BSS) – Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today urged
new generation to work together to continue the country’s development trend.
“Work unitedly to continue the development trend of the government, led
by Prime Minister Hasina,” he told a discussion at Jatiya Press Club on the
occasion of the National Mourning Day.
The Shipping Minister also called upon the new generation to proceed with
the courage being imbued with the ideal of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the spirit of Liberation War.
“A tough war is waiting for you….you are the soldiers of Bangabandhu,
who never afraid of anything. And you shouldn’t fear as well,” he said.
Referring to the brutal assassination of Bangabandhu, Shajahan Khan said
Ziaur Rahman was involved in the killing of the Father of the Nation and he
(Zia) did it in a planned way.
He further urged the new generation to get inspired in building a
hunger- and poverty-free Sonar Bangla in line with the philosophy of
Bangabandhu.
Jatiya Press Club president Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, president of BFUJ-
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Molla Jalal and Awami League leader
Balloram Poddar, among others, spoke at the discussion with Jiadur Rahman
Jihad in the chair.
