Photojournalists are eyes of the society: Discussants

RANGPUR, Aug 11, 2018 (BSS) – Discussants at a launching function here today termed the photojournalists as the eyes of the society while the other journalists as the conscience of the society.

“The photojournalists take professional risks in bringing out all types of events happening in the society through their cameras to present the real situation before the whole nation,” said Member of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Anwarul Islam.

Anwarul, also Organising Secretary of district Awami League (AL), said this in the function arranged by Rangpur Photo Journalists’ Association (RPJA) at its new office at City Park Market as the chief guest.

Earlier, Anwarul formally inaugurated the new office of RPJA by cutting ribbon in the function.

Later, special munajats were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of the Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and continuous success of RPJA.

With RPJA President Aftabuzzaman Hiru in the chair, Office Secretary of district AL Tauhidur Rahman Tutul addressed the function as special guest.

General Secretary of RPJA Shahidur Rahman Shahid delivered welcome speech in the function moderated by its Office Secretary Rezaul Karim Jiban.

President of Mahiganj Press Club Bablu Nag, former General Secretary of RPJA Shakil Ahmed, its incumbent Vice-president Golzar Hossain Ador, journalists Humayun Kabir Manik, Uday Chandra Barman, among others, addressed.

The chief guest called upon the photojournalists and other journalists to play their responsible role in accelerating national development through their professional activities by sincerely following the ethics of journalism in conducting responsibilities.
