DHAKA, Aug 11, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the country in
next 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty
wind is likely to occur at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet and
Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna
and Barishal divisions,” said a BMD bulletin issued here this morning.
Moderately heavy falls may also take place at some places over country in
next 24 hours commencing 9am today, the bulletin added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum temperature was recorded 36.6 degrees Celsius yesterday at
Rajshahi while today’s minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in
Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 39
mm at Teknaf in Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:35 pm today and rises at 5:32 am tomorrow in the capital.
