BHOLA, Nov 08, 2017(BSS) – A mobile court here foiled an attempt to child marriage in Char Chefoli village under Sadar upazila of the district last night.
Being informed, a mobile court led by Md Ruhul Amin Assistant Commissioner (Land) rushed to the house of Mala Begum with police and local media persons and foiled the wedding of a class ten student Mala Begum, daughter of Fulrani Begum, a resident of the area.
Locals said the preparation of marriage between Mala Begum, 15, and Md Sobuj of Rajapur Union under Sadar upazila was going on in a family occasion last night.
However, father of the girl committed not to arrange marriage of his daughter until she attain her matured age.
