Road accident kills child in Munshiganj
MUNSHIGANJ, Aug 10, 2018 (BSS) – A five-year-old child was killed in a road
accident in Mirsharai area under Sadar upazila of the district this noon.
The deceased was identified as Shahina Akter, 05, daughter of Idris Ali of
Mirsharai village under the upazila.
Eyewitness said the accident occurred when a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit
Shahina in the area around 1.30 pm as she was crossing the road.
Locals rushed her to Munshiganj General Hospital. Later, she was referred
to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as her condition deteriorated. But, Shahina
succumbed to her injuries on the way to Dhaka.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Thana Md Alomgir Hossain confirmed the
incident.
