National Mourning Day programme in Narayanganj

NARAYANGANJ, Aug 9, 2018(BSS)-An elaborate programme has been chalked out
to observe the National Mourning Day and 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Father
of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15 with due respect
and solemnity.

The district administration adopted the three-day programme beginning
August 12 at a meeting here recently.

Deputy Commissioner Rabbi Mia will inaugurate the programme at Narayanganj
Preparatory School in the morning as the chief guest.

According to the programme, essay writing competition on the life of
Bangabandhu, painting and recitation of poetry, Hamd and Nath competition of
children will be held on August 12.

Screening of short films on ‘Chironjib Bangabandhu’ and documentary film
show on Bangladesh and Bangabandhu will held at Shaheed Zia Hall on August
14.

On the final day of the programme on August 15, the national flag will be
hoisted at half-mast atop all government, semi-government, autonomous,
private buildings, educational organizations and political party offices at
sunrise.

Milad mahfil, Quran khwani and doa mahfil will be held at all mosques at 9
am. The portrait of Bangabandhu will be garlanded at Chashara Victory
Monument at 9.30am.

A discussion meeting followed by prize giving ceremony will be held
Narayanganj Rifles Club. Special prayers will be offered at mosques, temples
and churches for peace and prosperity of the country. Improved diets would be
served to inmates of hospitals, vagrant houses and orphanage centers.
