BNP begins conspiracy with 1/11 beneficiaries: Quader
DHAKA, Aug 8, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges
Minister Obaidul Quader today said the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has begun
conspiracy with the beneficiaries of one-eleven.
“The BNP has started conspiracy by joining hands with the beneficiaries of one-eleven,”
the minister told journalists replying to a question after placing a floral wreath at the
grave of Bangamata Begum Sheikh Fazilatunnesa at Banani graveyard here this morning on the
occasion of her 88th birth anniversary.
Quader said: BNP is carrying out propaganda at home and abroad, but their heinous
conspiracy would never succeed.
He said the BNP leaders wanted to politicize the recent non-political movement of the
students in a bid to topple the government, but their conspiracy has failed.
Terming BNP’s meeting with the foreign diplomats as a part of their ‘complaint
politics’, the AL leader said to tarnish the image of the country through falsehood is
part of their politics. “It is nothing but their political bankruptcy.”
In another programme at Azimpur, Quader said, “BNP carried out attack on our party
president’s political office at Dhanmondi by infiltrating their activists into the recent
non-political agitation of the students.
“The BNP attacked us … we were assaulted by them, our partymen were injured,” said
Quader.
An eye of the injured has been totally damaged and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
yesterday visited him at the hospital, Quader added.
Chaired by Chairman of the AL’s relief and social welfare sub-committee AFM Fakhrul
Islam Munshi, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by AL relief and social
welfare secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, sub-committee member Chowdhury Saifunnabi Chowdhury
Sagar and local ward councilor Hasibur Rahman Manik.
