Nation to remember sacrifice of Bangamata forever: BMS leaders
RANGPUR, Aug 8, 2018 (BSS)- Leaders of Bangladesh Mohila Sangstha (BMS)
today said the nation would remember sacrifice of Bangamata Begum
Fazilatunnessa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman, forever.
They made this observation while addressing a discussion organised by
Rangpur unit of BMS at its office here under auspices of the Women and
Children Affairs Ministry in celebration of the 88th birth anniversary of
Bangamata.
To celebrate the day, the BMS chalked out programmes including recitation
from the Holy Qur’an and Doa mahfil followed by offering special munajats
seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangamata and discussion.
With Chairman of Rangpur district unit of BMS Rosy Rahman in the chair, its
Executive Committee Member Latifa Shawkat addressed the discussion as the
chief guest.

Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite delivered keynote speech in the discussion
moderated by Secretary of Rangpur unit of BMS Jahangir Hossain.
In her speech, Advocate Choite said Bangamata correctly suggested and tried
to guide Bangabandhu during his crucial times and never allowed Bangabandhu
to get upset or disturbed during the days of his long struggle for
independence.
“Bangamata would remain immortal in our national history as well as in the
heart of the Bangalee nation and be remembered forever for her sacrifice,
patriotism and love for the people,” Choite added.
The chief guest paid rich tribute to Bangamata and focused on various
aspects of her life saying that the nation will remember Bangamata Begum
Fazilatunnessa Mujib everlastingly for her unparallel sacrifice during the
entire political life of Bangabandhu.
