Hong Kong stocks open higher
HONG KONG, Aug 7, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks edged up at the open
Tuesday, building on the previous day’s gains following another healthy lead
from Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.25 percent, or 69.88 points, to 27,889.44.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 6.58 points, or 0.24
percent, to 2,711.74, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks
on China’s second exchange, rose 3.11 points, or 0.21 percent, to 1,458.20.
