Tokyo shares inch higher after Wall Street gains
TOKYO, Aug 7, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Tokyo stocks opened fractionally higher
Tuesday following overnight gains on Wall Street, as investors searched for
fresh news to move the market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.06 percent, or 14.27 points, to
22,521.59 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.04 percent,
or 0.63 points, at 1,733.53.
