Case filed against Amir Khasru over phone conversation
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 5, 2018 (BSS)- A case was filed against BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury with Kotwali thana over plotting subversive activities and conspiracy against the state last night.
Jakaria Dastagir, acting general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Chattogram city unit, filed the case under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act and Special Powers Act around 11.40 pm, said Md Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana.
Mohsin said the allegations in the case were brought against Amir Khasru, former commerce minister, on charges of hatching conspiracy against the state using electronic device and plotting subversive activities.
Earlier, a reported audio clip of Khasru’s telephonic conversation over instigating the ongoing student movement between him and BNP activist and Cumilla city ward councilor Milhanur Rahman Naumi went viral on Facebook and YouTube on Saturday.
