FINE-REALIZATION
DNCRP fines Taka 13,000 in Gaibandha
GAIBANDHA, Aug 3, 2018 (BSS)-A team of Directorate of National Consumer
Rights Protection (DNCRP), in separate drives, here on Thursday realized Taka
13,000 as fine from the owners of five business establishments in Gobindaganj
upazila of the district.
Sources concerned said the team led by assistant director of DNCRP M Masum
Ali conducted the drives at Roman Hotel and Restaurant, Bhai Bhai Hotel,
Shajahan Hotel, Habu Traders and Ma Cosmetics Shop in the upazila.
The establishments were fined for selling food items in an unhygienic
atmosphere, date expired cosmetics and cheating in weight in violation of the
Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.
Gaibandha District Marketing Officer Shah Moazzem Hossain and police
accompanied the team during the drives.
Masum Ali said such drives would continue in the district at the
directives of the Ministry of Commerce.
