Road accident kills farmer in Netrakona
NETRAKONA, July 31, 2018 (BSS)- A farmer was killed and an auto-rickshaw driver injured as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a power tiller collided head-on in Borobari bridge area under Netrakona sader upazila today.
The deceased was identified as Fazlu Mia, 56, hailed from Nuapara village under Durgapur upazila of the district. The identity of the injured could not be known immediately.
Being informed, a police team from Netrakona sader police station rushed to the spot and recover the body and sent it to Netrakona Sader Hospital morgue for autopsy, said officer-in-charge (OC) of Netrakona sader police station Burhan Uddin Khan.
Police seized the lorry but its driver managed to escape from the scene, the OC added.
