Man to die for killing wife in Sirajganj
SIRAJGANJ, July 31, 2018 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced a man to
death for killing his wife in Tarash upazila of the district in 2008.
The court also fined the convict Nur Hossain, 40, Taka 10,000.
District Judge Fazle Khoda Md Nazir, also a judge of Women and Children
Repression Prevention Tribunal-1, pronounced the verdict.
Court’s Public Prosecutor (PP) Sheikh Abdul Hamid Lavlu confirmed the
matter.
According to prosecution, Nur Hossain beat his wife Sabana to death on
January, 2008 for dowry.
After the incident, Abu Sayed, brother of the victim, filed a murder case
against Nur Hossain.
The judge after examining the witnesses and evidences handed down the
verdict.
