ELECTROCUTION-SIRAJGANJ LEAD
8 electrocuted in Sirajganj
SIRAJGANJ, July 31, 2018 (BSS) – Eight people were electrocuted at Kadai
village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila this noon.
The deceased are Momin, 30, son of Abul Kashem, Rafikul, 32, son of Habibur
Rahman, Sanwar, 30, son of Abdul Hamid, Sajib, 14, son of Abdul Alim,
Abdullah, 16, son of Abu Taher, Raju, 16, son of Aminul Islam, Sanu, 21, son
of Hanif and Abdus Sattar, 50, son of Megha Sheikh. All are residents of the
same area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar police station Mohammad Daud confirmed the
matter and said the incident took place at the village when 10-12 people came
in touch with a live hanging electric wire while shifting a grocery shop,
leaving them injured.
The injured were taken to Sadar Hospital where physicians declared eight
of them dead, said Faridul Islam, a resident medical officer of the hospital.
