55 rivers register rises, 34 falls

DHAKA, July 29, 2018 (BSS) – Water levels in 55 river stations monitored by
Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 34 stations
recorded falls.

Among the 94 monitored water level stations, one is above danger level, a
bulletin issued by FFWC said today.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers are in steady state which may continue in
the next 24 hours.

The Ganges-Padma rivers is in rising trend which may continue rising in
the next 72 hours.

The major rivers of Upper Meghna basin in the North-Eastern region are in
rising trend which may continue rising in next 24 hours.

A total of 117 mm rainfall was recorded during last 24 hours ending at 6 am
today at Teknaf, 105 mm at Lorergarh, 93 mm at Moheshkhola, 82 mm at Chattak,
76 mm at Lama and 50 mm at Sunamganj and Jariajanjail.
