290 farmers get seed, fertilizers in Gaibandha


GAIBANDHA, Oct 31, 2017 (BSS) – A total of 290 flood affected farmers of the district got mustard seed and chemical fertilizers from Jatiya Krishak Samity (JKS) on Monday to recover their losses caused by floods.

A simple distribution ceremony, organized by district unit of JKS,
was also held at the auditorium of Public Library and Club of the town here in cooperation with JKS, Barisal district unit.

General Secretary (GS) of JKS, central committee, Aminul Islam Golap addressed the function as the chief guest while Mosaddek Ahmad Bulbul, president of JKS, district unit, presided over the ceremony.

The function was also addressed, among others, by vice president of central JKS Bishwajit Barai, cashier Bazlur Rahman Master, member Manjurul Islam, member of Barisal JKS Shahidur Rahman, president of Bangladesh Workers’ Party, district unit Biren Sen, leader of Samajtantrik Krishak and Khetmajur Front, district unit, Golam Rabbani and GS of JKS, district unit, Pranab Kumar Chowdhury.

Aminul Islam Golap in his speeches thanked the leaders of JKS, Barisal district unit for standing beside the flood affected farmers of the district with seed and fertilizers.

Later, he distributed mustard seed and Muriate of Potash (MoP) fertilizer among the 290 farmers.

Each of the farmers received one kg of mustard seed and 10 kgs of MoP.
